Dockside Property Services are a property agent focussing on the Medway towns in Kent. They operate in sales and lettings and have offices in two locations in Medway. They also have a sister company based in London. Always seeking to integrate old fashioned values with the latest technology, they are keen to make the most of the technology available to them in their own business.

When we first met they had an ageing 2003 Small Business Server with reliability issues and a business specific third party database, which was paramount to running the business. The opening of a second branch, made this configuration impractical.

Project description

The solution we opted for was to migrate everything we could to Office 365 and work with the third party database provider to move that element to a cloud service. Once everything was relocated the users can log into a PC and use email, access data and also log into the cloud database server. Users frequently move between offices and can access their data from each location. The biggest improvement for the users is reliability; the Office 365 platform is always available.
