Hymns Ancient and Modern is a charitable organisation whose legacy spans over 150 years. Perhaps best known for the weekly newspaper The Church Times, the charity aims to achieve “the advancement and promotion of religion” through all its business and charitable work.

The business management team report regularly to a board of trustees and the organisation operates across three sites; a bookshop and office (both in London) and a warehouse and distribution centre in Norwich.

Project description

Since starting work for the charity back in 1998, we have managed several office moves on their behalf. This particular project involved the relocation of their London office to new premises in Golden Lane; the office where the weekly newspaper is produced. Since they have never missed a deadline in over 100 years, it was essential that the project ran smoothly with as little disruption to the working environment as possible.

Acting in a consultancy role, closely liaising with the company who provided the fit-out services for the new office, Impreza also managed communications with their telephone and internet providers. We arranged for internet services to be set up, configured and connected to the network prior to the move to ensure a smooth transition. Servers and desktops were all online within just one hour, leaving staff to get on with the important job of printing their newspaper to deadline.
