Background

The Fountain Workshop do exactly what their name suggests; they design fountains. But, these fountains are on a grand scale and they offer a complete service from initial design through to implementation and management.

Like many businesses, The Fountain Workshop have been relying on the Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 platform for many years. This product was no longer a viable option for the growing business, due to built-in email limitations. The management team had read about Office 365 and could already understand the benefit of moving to the cloud, particularly for email as some users are located off-site. All IT functions had been managed by one of the company’s directors, severely impacting on his time and resources and making it difficult for the organisation to respond to its rapid growth.

Project description

At our initial infrastructure meeting it was agreed that the network must be updated and the entire IT support function would be passed to Impreza. We used the latest edition of Microsoft Windows Server with Office 365 ready deployed for all users, who were also given access to the latest versions of software on their desktops. Finally, we migrated all emails (including archived ones) onto the new system to enable everyone to continue with their work immediately with no disruption.
