Apple recently released an iOS update that significantly enhances your iPhone's security in the event of theft.
Last year, we published an in-depth article highlighting iPhone security flaws that made it easy for thieves to access your data if they knew your passcode. In response to the understandable concerns from the Apple community, the company introduced a new feature with the release of iOS 17.3.
This feature, called Stolen Device Protection, provides two major security enhancements for your iPhone when you are outside of designated familiar locations:
These features are disabled when you are in a "trusted" location, such as your home or office.
